The vision of Peace
TWO launched its recent publication “Aman ka Taswar” an Urdu translation of “Vision of Peace” by Rubina Feroze Bhatti and Riaz Ahmed Shad.
The launch took place on 19 January, 2014, at PC Hotel (Crystal Hall), Lahore. Nobel Prize winner Mairead Corrigan spoke about the translation via video link. Governor Punjab Ch. Muhammad Sarwar presided the launch while Kamran Micheal (Federal Minister for Port and shipping), Begum Zakia Shahnawaz (Provincial Minister for Family Planning, Punjab), Qazi Javaid (Director Idara Saqafat-e-Islamia), Irfan Mufti (Deputy Director S.A.P Pakistan ), Sohail Warraich (Senior Editor Editorial & Executive Director GEO), Rana Muhammad Arshad (Parliamentary Secretary information, Culture & Youth Affair), Tahira Habib (Cultural Specialist US consulate, Lahore), Mian Imran Masood (Former Minister for Education Punjab), Irfan Iqbal Sheikh (Former Senior Vice President LCCI), Rana Ijaz Ahmed Khan (Former Minister for Law, Punjab), Prof. Dr. Owais Farooqui (Chairman Focus Pakistan), Rana Asad Ullah Khan (Former Secretary Lahore High Court), Prof. Javaid Akram Sheikh (USA), Qazi Abdul Qadir Khamosh (Chairman Muslim Christian Federation international) were the key speakers.
